The project:

In the autumn of 2019, the Futurium (formerly House of the Future), a showcase for Germany as a location for science and innovation, will open its doors in the immediate vicinity of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research on the Kapelle-Ufer. The Futurium is an initiative of the Federal Government and the BMBF in cooperation with leading German science organisations, foundations and German industry.

The task:

Erlebniskontor was called in from 2010 to 2015 as a consultant for very different project phases and questions. The cooperation started in 2010 with the basic analysis and feasibility study, which answered conceptual, financial and organisational questions. In 2011 and 2012, we were involved in the preparation and implementation of the architectural competition as consultants and judges. Subsequently, we were able to support the BMBF and the ÖPP Deutschland AG with the further development of the content until 2014 and, above all, the functional planning of the centre from the point of view of the user and the operator during the preliminary planning and draft planning.
